booni doon is a sustainably sourced and plastic-free skincare brand based in New York. Founded by Pooja Ganesan, she was inspired by climate change activism happening around the world and began researching ways to minimise her environmental footprint. What she thought would be simple swaps in everyday life, became a nightmare when it came to personal care products.

A brand identity for a zero-waste skincare brand rooted in science and inspired by nature.
Frustrated with the ‘green washing’ that happens all too frequently in the skincare industry Pooja began developing products that are kind to the skin and the environment. booni doon launched in 2020 with a cleansing capsule packed with potent, plant-based ingredients that work together for a healthy-looking glow. The scientifically developed powder formulation is activated with a few drops of water, transforming into a gentle foaming cleanser to wash away impurities. Packaging is refillable, recyclable, or compostable.
We designed a brand identity for booni doon that celebrates the botanical ingredients and the power of science. Simple hand-drawn illustrations were created to be used as features with a warm and calming palette. We chose a beautiful serif font that’s clean and minimal for an elegant aesthetic and designed a simple monogram to be used across social media and packaging labels.
