Trepadora

Brand identity and packaging for a female-founded curly hair brand helping women fall in love with their natural texture.

Trepadora was founded in 2015 by Keisha Jo Lawler, inspired by her time living in South America, where she discovered how indigenous botanicals were deeply woven into daily beauty rituals. This experience sparked the vision for a brand that treats curl care like skincare — targeting the scalp as the root of healthy, resilient curls.

Each product blends high-performance, skin-friendly actives with nutrient-rich botanicals – designed to detangle, define, and hydrate curls while supporting long-term scalp health. With super-concentrated formulas and a belief in less-is-more, Trepadora promotes mindful use without compromising results.

We partnered with the brand to relaunch its identity with a refined visual language and sustainable packaging system. The updated design places greater focus on Trepadora’s mission for a cleaner planet, featuring vegan-certified formulations and packaging made from renewable and recycled materials.

Each product features its own hand-inked illustration, drawing inspiration from the natural ingredients and celebrating the diversity of curly hair. The products are housed in PCR (post-consumer recycled) bottles, sugarcane-derived bioplastic tubes, and 100% recyclable cardboard cartons.

A calming, earthy palette and sophisticated typography create a sense of grounded elegance, aligning with the brand’s salon-quality performance and ingredient integrity.

To support the relaunch, we collaborated with a photographer to capture a collection of product and lifestyle imagery that celebrates Trepadora’s values – authentic beauty, care as ritual, and nature-led performance.

"Working with Claire was the perfect collaboration. She understood the brief and delivered my vision beautifully. My rebrand was a monumental decision to make, so to say there was a lot on the line. My darling Claire rose to the challenge not only with creating a new identity for our product packaging but also to bring that identity and feel into our physical flagship store and salon in Maidenhead."
